Technical Overview
Over the last 15 years we have dealt with many customer queries regarding converters and inverters. We have provided this section in order to help with the most commonly occurring problems.
As with any product it is very important that you ensure that you have read your units accompanying user guide. Please make sure that you have carefully followed the installation instructions in the manual correctly as we often find that many problems are a direct result of poor installation.
Many of our DC - AC inverters produce a stepped square wave output (not sinusoidal as supplied by the national grid) and this may, infrequently, lead to problems with certain types of loads. If you are having problems with one of our units you should consult our FAQ's and the page on output waveforms in this section. Unfortunately, as with every written document this section cannot be fully comprehensive and therefore it is very important that you phone or e-mail us with your phone number at support@switchedmode.com if you cannot find a solution to your problem here.
